    BIOLOGICS AND GRAFTING MATERIALS

Regenerative dentistry has given us more options to rebuild tissue and bone. Tissue and bone grafts can come from self (autologous), another human being (allogenic), another species (xenogenic) or even artificially made (synthetic). Each grafting material and technique serves a particular situation to achieve the best outcome.

Newer advances in regeneration and healing utilizes Platelet rich fibrin (PRF). PRF therapy concentrates platelets from a patient’s blood sample and is more natural for healing. Platelets are rich in clotting factors, growth factors and tissue regeneration.

Traditional autologous grafts harvest a patient’s bone from one site and implant it into another site. Dentin graft, an alternative to autologous graft, uses a patient’s demineralized dentin from an extracted tooth. Dentin grafts have regenerative properties similar to natural bone and can eliminate the need for a second surgical site. When possible, dentin grafts would be a natural alternative to allogenic, xenogenic and and synthetic grafts.

  • HOW WE CARE FOR YOUR HEALTH

We evaluate more than just your teeth. Breathing, eating and talking are all important to the health of our teeth and our overall health. Airway, TMJ, and muscle screening gives us more information on teeth shape, dental arch form, and even facial profiles. We work with dental specialists and non-dental specialists to make sure you get the best care possible.

For your comfort, we offer a menu of items to help you relax. However, some of these techniques may not be enough. Do not hesitate. Let us know if you require a little bit or quite a bit more comfort to surpass any barriers to getting the healthy treatment you deserve. Ask us about our sedation options.

  • Dental offices produce a lot of waste through single use items that do not decompose easily. In addition, day to day operations use copious amounts of water and electricity. Toxic waste materials like mercury and dental needles are hazardous to the environment.

Green dentistry is not a new concept. Patient safety and aseptic protocols are never compromised. Infection control that is eco-friendly and adheres to the CDC guidelines have already been established by great minds.
